Sree has extensive experience teaching 6th-12th grade algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and chemistry. She's also well-versed in standardized test prep, including the SAT/ACT and high school entrance exams.
She obtained a BS in chemical engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India, and an MS in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After graduating, she worked as a systems analyst for 15 years. Her tutoring journey began with her own two children. "I enjoy seeing students learn new information, achieve their goals, and improve over time," she shares.
Sree characterizes her approach as "adaptive." Specifically, she works to uncover both what a student needs in a tutor and their student's learning style, be it visual or auditory. "Students comprehend and learn information in different ways," she says. "I assess the student's style in their first lesson and teach them accordingly." Her ability to communicate complex topics with greater clarity is one of her strongest teaching tools. She is deeply invested in helping her students reach their full potential.
During her free time, Sree enjoys gardening, reading, and Zumba. She also loves playing with her mini Bernedoodle named after a character from her favorite Indian movie.
