PrepNow Tutor - Noora T.

A dedicated and patient tutor, Noora has a passion for helping students understand challenging concepts and build lasting confidence. “With a solid academic background and excellent communication skills, I create a supportive environment where students feel motivated and empowered to succeed,” Noora says. She holds a BS in biochemistry and physics from DePaul University. She’s currently preparing for medical school while tutoring test prep.
Noora started tutoring in middle school when she noticed her peers struggling in math. “My proudest moments teaching are seeing the lightbulb go off in the form of finally understanding the material,” Noora says. “It makes me feel like I am making a difference. Tutoring allows me to meet students where they are, adapt to their learning style, and celebrate their progress in real time. It’s personal, it’s impactful, and it reminds me why I love to teach.” Since 2018, she’s tutored all K-12 subjects as well as math through upper-level calculus. She’s also very experienced in the following test prep subjects: the ACT, SAT, MCAT, and GMAT.
“I tailor my tutoring approach to meet each student's unique learning style and academic goals,” Noora says. “But I often teach visually as I find this helps students grasp subjects. Seeing it trumps everything.” Noora also focuses on creating a low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, “because learning is a process, and I want them to feel supported every step of the way.” She is a particularly excellent test prep tutor because she knows how to break down complex topics into visual, digestible parts that actually stick. “I focus on teaching strategy as much as content—because it’s not just about knowing the material, it’s about knowing how to approach the test,” Noora explains. “I love helping students walk in on test day with confidence, not anxiety, and seeing their scores reflect the work they’ve put in is incredibly rewarding.”
As a student, Noora participated in debate and soccer. She received honors in college for her academic success and high grade point average. She enjoys reading, volunteering at the hospital, and learning about economics. “I love animals, specifically my pets!”
